the ballet Academy workshops participation terms, conditions & waiver

To register for The Ballet Academy workshops, first please read and agree to this waiver.

Completed registrations and payments received are further confirmation of your acknowledgement and agreement to these terms.

Fees

By enrolling and attending workshops run by  The Ballet Academy, you are acknowledging and agreeing to our fee conditions  

  • Fees are non refundable*

  • Your place is secured when payment is received and email confirmation from us.

  • You will not be eligible to attend the workshops if your fees have not been paid

  • Fees are GST inclusive

*If you are unwell and are able to provide a doctors certificate we will refund 80% of your fee if we have someone available to take your place.

COVID-19

  • As a Vaccine Pass Business all participants 12 years and 3 months or older must be fully vaccinated to register for The Ballet Academy workshops. 

  • Operating at the Red Light Setting, we cannot permit any parents inside at our workshops.

  • Please do not email us your Vaccine Pass. We will sight and scan in on Workshop days. 

  • If government limitations prevent us from  running the workshop as advertised, we have alternative procedures in place. Please see below a brief explanation of alternative measures in the order that they will happen.

    • Our priority will be to find an alternative date and continue to hold the workshop face to face.

    • If we are unable to hold the workshop face to face then we will run the workshop as scheduled via live online classes. 

    • No refunds will be given if we provide an alternative that adheres to the government recommended restrictions in place.

    • If the workshop is held live online then we will credit 15% of the paid workshop fee towards the next TBA Workshop

    • If we are unable to provide any alternative method, 50% will be refunded and 20% will will be credited towards our next TBA Workshop

 

Uniform

Students will be required to wear/ bring the following items to workshops:

  • Black or navy leotard

  • Ballet tights (convertible tights preferred)

  • Ballet flats with or without ribbons

  • Warm up top/ something warm that you can still move in

  • Theraband

  • Pilates/ yoga mat

  • Hair must be in a neat/ slick classical bun

Photography/Videography

Photographs and videos will be taken throughout each workshop series.  

As a participant of The Ballet Academy Workshop series you are agreeing to the use of these photographs/ videos as promotional material (this includes social media & website).

There will be no identifying information provided on promoting with the images unless written permission has been granted by the parent/ caregiver.


 

General

The workshops are closed to viewing, parents and caregivers are not permitted to watch the classes.

Workshop timetables are subject to change - length of studio/ dance time will be honoured. 

Workshop tutors are subject to change without warning.

Safety & Injury 

Dancer’s participate at their own risk. Safe practice is always encouraged and it is important for dancers to follow and adhere to the instruction and advice given in order to prevent injury. 

The Ballet Academy does not take responsibility for any potential injury or harm that may come about whilst at or in a workshop hosted by The Ballet Academy.  

Bullying not condoned or accepted, anyone found to be bullying will be asked to leave.

The feedback & corrections that tutors provide to participants are the views of the individual tutor and do not reflect the views and opinions of The Ballet Academy.
